Becoming an Outstanding Teacher: Summer Conference 2015
You have got to the final few weeks of your PGCE programme and you will now be on the "job hunt" for September. The Outstanding Teacher Conference is an opportunity for you to reflect upon the journey you have been on for the last year- how far you have come! It also gives you one last chance to share best practice with your fellow course colleagues and identify some improvement priorities to take with you when you start your NQT year.
Our graduated students will know that the next few months can be like stepping out into the unknown; at times it can be frustrating, other times it feels like a walk in the park but one things for certain- if you have passion and commitment, you will suceed. What is important to remember, is that when you are working next year you are not on your own.
The PGCE PCET team are still here to support you, and we hope that this members area will become a hub for sharing best practice, learning and teaching innovations and student case studies that you can all share and read. If you would like to share an innovation, idea, or a write a short article please send them to suncett@sunderland.ac.uk and we will upload and share your article. Not only will you be contributing ideas and innovations to your current peers but you will be helping to support current students on their journey from good to outstanding.
